I have been going here for a while now and i have always had good vibes here. The counselers are always really nice and its always clean outside and in. Luckily its only a mile from my house in glen burnie wich to me is always safe and a good area. Im really dissapointed they are moving to washington blvd right outside baltimore. I just visited the new place ahead of time to see what i would be dealing with and i wasnt too happy. The new builiding is in a ghetto trashy area with literally no parking. So if you get weekly take homes like i do i suggest you park as close as you can to the door so you dont get robbed. I wanna transfer to we care or ejal now. Its really a shame cuz i always liked the glen burnie place. Id give it 5 stars if they werent moving to the ghetto
I have been a patient here since October 2017. Coming to BNJ turned out to be a great decision. The staff helped me with more than just effectively medicate me. My counselor (Dawn) would actually sit down with me one and one to talk about my life in general and she would help guide me on the path to achieving sobriety, success, finding work. Stuff like that! I loved all the staff at BNJ. Everyday they was always very friendly & ask me how I was. They're concerned for all their patients well being. I'll forever me grateful.
My daughter loves her counselor Courtney and after meeting the new Medical Director/ Physician this morning she has high hopes for the program, staff and clients. She expressed to me how great Dr. K is and how much she absolutely likes him. She said he was so very smart and knowledgeable. In her exact words she stated that Dr. K "Knew his "s**t". As for her counselor Courtney, she absolutely adores that young lady and speaks of how kind and caring she is. She said that she never talks down to her and she always treats her with respect. In her exact words she says, "That's my Girl mom". She def is my favorite Bia Bia". Whatever that means. Lol. She also likes the ladies and gentlemen who check everyone into the system when they come in and as far as I know has respect for and likes the nurses. Some better than others but nevertheless she really doesn't dislike them. She has problems with the way that one or two of the nurses seem to do things sometimes, handle situations, often seem very judgmental and the way they seem to pry into people's personal business but other than that I believe she is fine with them. She also likes her previous counselor Lavinya very much and always respected the way that she interacted with and treated her. Sorry if that is spelled wrong hon, I did my best to spell it correctly. She also stated that she found the previous Doctor to be quite the Funnyman. I'm not sure of his name but he definitely was a character from what my Daughter says. There are some areas that need improvement and some of the staff need to be advised on how to be more professional and more respectful to the clients. After all people come there for help and they shouldn't be treated like they are the burdens of society by certain nurses, counselors and other staff members. I also read the review where the young man spoke of how the police sit there and run tags, harass people and arrest people with warrants who come there for treatment. I agree with him and have seen that with my own eyes. Isn't that an INJUSTICE of our constitutional rights as AMERICANS? SMH. Well that's enough out of me. 😊
I've been coming here for close to ten years .there are several shining stars in this place ,but only one superstar I'm not going to say who but they know how they are . Thank you
One of the most holistic and humanistic places I have visited. Staff is genuinely interested in your welfare, and the owner herself, is a former Addictions Counselor. Dr K is their new doctor, and he is great. Other programs are focused on retention or numbers. This clinic is focused on your healing and empowerment. Folks that complain are more concerned about how to twist the program to their liking. This program works on getting you focused on yourself.
I love it there and I'm white....Never have any problems. Treat others how you wanna be treated is my saying...Well u actually learn that in school. I'm nice to them they don't bother me. You get slick or talk out the side of your mouth at them, then you'll have problems. Your not there to make friends your there to get your methadone and go k live a productive life...But some of these comments show me that a lot of people can not still live a normal quite drama free life... All I can say is WWWOOOWWWW!
BNJ Health Services at first glance may seem like it is a "hole in the wall" type of place. However, I can say that they are a great facility and the main thing I can say is they LISTEN to their patients. They don't just look at a chart and go make a decision without including you or the team. They work together very well and communicate effectively between the nurses, doctor, counselors, patients, and directors. The director(s) at BNJ services handle situations very well and you will always be in good hands.
